Architects' Office MR Moska i Rachuba sp. j. performs multi-discipline technical documentation of public buildings, industrial buildings, multi-family complexes and single-family houses. The projects prepared in their studio are based on a simple and clear functional layout, a contemporary architectural form with strong reference to the character of the place using modern technologies and energy-saving solutions.


The project was relatively simple, it only took 2 months to develop. As we focused on minimalism and simplicity the design was completed in just 2 weeks. Our scope of work consisted of frontend, backend, UI & UX as well as QA. In the team there was one graphic designer, one frontend and one full stack developer all lead by one project manager.

Challenge

While working as an architect may seem like an indoor job, many professionals need to visit the work site regularly during the construction, being in touch with the engineers, solving any unforeseen problems, and making sure their vision is fulfilled flawlessly. Such tasks require the architect to have easy and convenient insight into all the related documents and plans.


Architekci MR, as a company dealing with multiple complex projects ranging from private homes to whole residential areas at the same time, struggled with the organization of all the files so that they would be up to date, available at any given time and place, and most importantly uncluttered. They asked us to create a simple, transparent web application to make construction site appointments simpler and more organized.

Solution

During the development, we focused on ease of use, providing our client with a location-based solution displaying all the necessary documents automatically, depending on the site. Besides a dashboard showing clusters of relevant files, each group can be viewed in detail allowing a preview, editing, sharing and adding comments for other employees.


We integrated the files from their ERP system and database while also allowing access to google drive and dropbox for additional functionality. When designing the GUI we tried appealing to the minimalistic, aesthetic black and white theme of the company keeping it simple and intuitive.
