About the client
Our client is one of the leading operators in the online lottery industry, serving millions of players and working with lottery operators across multiple regulated markets.
The challenge
Lottery shop operators needed a modern, cloud-based administration platform: a system to run shops in different countries, with different currencies, themes, integrations and regulatory requirements, all from one place. The existing tooling could not support that kind of multi-market operation, and the client wanted a partner able to own the product end to end rather than staff isolated roles.
What we built
We designed and built a Software as a Service platform for lottery shop administration, starting from scratch and taking over the entire product ownership, including the choice of technology stack and the architecture of the application:
- Shop administration for products, lotteries, players, calendars, payouts and mailings.
- Multi-market operation, with each shop configured per country, domain, currency and theme.
- Analytics that track sales and tickets per market in real time.
- Integrations with third-party services, including CMS-driven content management.
How we worked
The product is developed by more than thirty engineers in four teams drawn from four different nations, working in an agile cycle of constant testing and improvement. The platform is built with Vue.js and TypeScript on the front end and Kotlin with Ktor on the back end.
The outcome
The collaboration has run for more than two years and continues today. The platform lets enterprises open new markets significantly faster, with shop setup that used to be a project becoming configuration.
