AI Readiness Assessment
Find out where AI will work in your company before you spend money building it. Our AI readiness assessment reviews your data, systems, skills and processes in two to three weeks and ends with a scored report and a 90-day plan.
What is an AI readiness assessment?
An AI readiness assessment is a structured review that shows whether your organisation can run AI projects successfully and which projects to start with. It looks at four things: the data you have, the technology it lives in, the people who will use and maintain AI systems, and the processes and rules around them.
Most failed AI projects do not fail because of the model. They fail because the data was not ready, nobody owned the system after launch or the use case never had a clear business goal. The assessment finds these problems early, when they are cheap to fix.
What we assess
- Data: Where your data lives, how complete and consistent it is, who owns it and whether it can legally be used for AI.
- Technology: Your core systems, integration options, cloud setup and security constraints.
- People and skills: Who would build, run and use AI systems, what training they need and where outside help makes sense.
- Processes and governance: How decisions are made today, which processes have enough volume to automate, and what the EU AI Act and GDPR require for your use cases.
How the assessment works
- Week 1: Interviews. We talk to leadership, process owners and IT to understand goals and pain points.
- Week 2: Data and systems review. We look at samples of your data and map the systems that would feed AI use cases.
- Week 3: Scoring and roadmap. We score each area, rank use cases by value and effort, and write the 90-day plan.
Final session. We present the findings to your team and answer questions. You keep the report and the scoring model.
What you get
- A maturity score from 1 to 5 for data, technology, people and governance.
- A ranked list of AI use cases with estimated value, effort and risk.
- The gaps to close before each use case can start.
- An EU AI Act risk classification for the top use cases.
- A 90-day action plan with owners and milestones.
AI readiness checklist
Use these ten questions for a quick self-check. If you answer no to more than three, a full assessment will save you time.
- Do you know which business processes cost the most time or money?
- Is the data for those processes stored digitally in one or two systems?
- Does someone own the quality of that data?
- Can your systems be accessed through APIs?
- Do you have budget for a pilot this year?
- Is there a manager who would own an AI system after launch?
- Do you know which AI tools employees already use?
- Do you have a policy for using AI with customer data?
- Can you measure the current performance of the process you want to improve?
- Would your team trust an AI recommendation if it came with a source?
AI readiness assessment vs AI audit
An AI readiness assessment looks forward. It answers what you should build and whether you are ready to build it. An AI audit looks at AI systems you already run and checks their performance, bias, security and compliance. Companies starting with AI need the assessment. Companies with AI in production often need both.
Frequently asked questions
What is an AI readiness assessment?
A structured review of your data, technology, skills and processes that shows whether your company can run AI projects successfully and which use cases to start with.
How long does an AI readiness assessment take?
Two to three weeks. Most of the time goes into interviews with your team and a review of your data sources and systems.
What do we receive at the end?
A written report with a maturity score for each area, a ranked list of AI use cases, the gaps to close and a 90-day action plan.
Is an AI audit the same as a readiness assessment?
Not quite. A readiness assessment looks forward and asks what you can build. An AI audit reviews AI systems you already run for performance, risk and compliance. We offer both.
Do we need clean data before the assessment?
No. Finding out where your data stands is part of the assessment. Many clients start with scattered data and use the report to decide what to fix first.
Know where AI will pay off before you build
In three weeks you get a scored report, a ranked list of use cases and a 90-day plan your team can act on.
